the “soka 747” is a trx of the ftdx 505 series, with a powerfull 250-300 wtts pep. the americans called hi9m “the sinosaur” because - it`s a heavi metall transceiver. build like a tank but looking good. i sold him to a “tube fan ham” here in germany. |

for me, the kenwood ts-940s is one of the best radios of the eightees. he has a very quite receiver and a beatiful sound. a sensitive receiver and the typical kenwood processor modulation, make him a true dx maschine. |
