The 2008 Con-Din was held on the Whitsun weekend 9-11th May in Lueneburg near Hamburg, Germany and it was organised by Gisela and Gerd. The dinner itself was on Saturday May 10th evening at the Hotel Bergstroem in Lueneburg

On Friday 9th May we had an informal get-together in the beer-garden of one of the Bergström restaurants at the large house in the middle of the above picture left of the bridge.

Saturday 10th May started with a tour to crane (see picture above, built around the year of 1300), followed by a horse-driven tour through the city.  The afternoon continued with a guided tour through the Luneburg town hall and ended with a visit to the large ship-lift in the "Elbe-Seiten"-canal.  At the dinner 28 members and guests were present.

Gisela and Gerd invited the 28 and two local hams to an Open House on Whitsun Sunday 11th May.
CW-operators could operate the station with the club call DK0FOC (trustee Baldur DJ6SI).  Chris G3SJJ brought his K3 transceiver; it was connect to the antennas in a way that with the flip of a switch it could be compared with the ICOM-7800 station transceiver and it compared more than satisfactorily.  On display was also Gerd's uncounted collection of crank-operated local-battery telephones, WW-II radio receivers and 50 year old receivers and transmitters.
