LA3ZA QSL from 1949

QSL from the original LA3ZA, 1949 for a 2-way QRP QSO. The text reads: "Thanks for fb qso with qrp, es cul!" I still have the Hallicrafters S40A receiver which was used with a 2 W input transmitter, probably homebrew.

Thanks to LA5DB, Kjell, for providing this card. He used a 5 W transmitter and a 40 m long wire antenna for this contact.

The first LA3ZA was active from 1946 and for some 10-15 years, so the call had been inactive for more than 40 years when I received it again in 2001.
